I am accessing world cup based upon the  performance. Cricket is a sport loved by billions in our nation.  I follow cricket from 2003 world cup, where Indians lost to the mighty Aussies. I was heart-broken when Sachin was out in the first over of the massive target(359/2). In that era, 350 plus chase was not possible. Today, the game has changed drastically with the invention of T20 games, new rules, power-plays, heavy bats, etc. Nowadays, teams are even ready to chase 400 plus targets. Let's analyse batting, bowling and fielding individually in detail.

Sreesanth, Chandila, Chavan spot explained by police

Sreesanth, Ajith Chandila and Ankeet Chawan was arrested on Wednesday night for spot booking in the ongoing IPL season. Unfortunately all the three players was from the same team Rajasthan Royals which was led by the most iconic leader Dravid.

The allegations was explained by the police commissioner Mr.Neeraj Kumar.

"The modus operandi was: there was an agreement between the bookies and a player that in a certain over they will give away a minimum amount of runs. The bookies also gave the players the directions. That they have to indicate they are ready to give away those runs. You rotate your watch or you put on your towel or you spend some time setting the field." - Neeraj Kumar

Gambhir and Bisla sledging Dravid

His image taking a bit of beating after verbal duel with Rahul Dravid during Friday's IPL game, Gautam Gambhir on Saturday sought to clear the air by saying that he never exchanged any harsh words with the legendary batsman, who remains a respected figure for him.

This is the second time that Gambhir is involved in such an altercation. In an earlier IPL match, he and Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli were involved in an ugly on-field spat. 

Sachin retires from ODI Career

Sachin Ramesh Tendulakar retires from ODI international on December 23, 2012. The decision turns to a surprise for all of the cricket fans. He played 463 ODI matches and scored 18426 runs with 49 hundreds and 96 fifties.

England level the series

The second T20 match between England and India was held on Mumbai yesterday. India already have lead the series 1-0 expected to win, but unfortunately their inexperienced fast bowlers let them down. The match turned out a thriller takes up to the last ball, where England need 3 to win. Ashok Dinda tried to bowl a yorker which was slipped out as a full toss. Eoin Morgan says thank you and dispatched it straight above the bowler's head for a longest six of 92 meters. The victory was also their highest successful chase in T20 International.
