I’d do things differently

Dear Charlie,
I love you son more than anything. I know it from the first time when I hold you in my arms. Over the years, your mom passed away. I got drunk, I sent you to farm house instead of school. I wish I'd do things differently to you. I got sick now; doctors told that it will cost a lot for the operation. You want to do it but your wife thinks otherwise. I don’t want to be a burden to you. By the time, you are reading this I would have been far away.
